We have instituted the following Pandemic Precaution Protocols* as set by the CDC and the Maryland Department of Health:
- We will pre-screen all patients prior to their scheduled appointment.
- We will see only one patient at a time, in only one of our treatment rooms, during limited hours.
- We will allow 30 minutes between patients so that no one will cross paths in the common areas while we clean and disinfect the treatment space, common areas, and high touch surfaces, e.g., light switches, doorknobs, walls, and desktops.
- We will limit returning patients to one time slot per week. (New patients can schedule with Leah beginning in July 2020).
- When a patient arrives for an appointment, we will lock the door to the outside to minimize the possibility of interruption by unknown individuals (delivery people, etc).
- If a patient arrives early, they will be asked to wait in their car or outside of the office if another patient is still inside.
- We will screen for active symptoms, fever, cough, muscle soreness, before every appointment and document the results.
- We will be wearing a face mask at all times. While we are not required to use gloves during treatment, we will have single-use gloves available as needed.
- We have removed all blankets from treatment rooms; they will not be available for use. (Table warmers and heat lamps will be used instead).
- Upholstered chairs have been removed from the treatment rooms and replaced with chairs that can be wiped down with disinfectant.
- Hand sanitizer and facial tissues will be available in the treatment room and common areas for proper hygiene in case of a sneeze or cough.
- A non-touch waste basket will be available for discarding used tissues
*We will continue to monitor the most up-to-date information provided by these agencies and modify our policies and protocols accordingly.
